As an elite special force member, your combat skill set goes well beyond a civilian survivor's — the movement options, weapon handling, and tactical instincts of a trained operator translate into engagements where the right approach eliminates threats that would overwhelm a less disciplined fighter. Zombie horde management is the tactical center of each engagement. Individual zombies are manageable; hundreds converging from multiple directions require channeling them through chokepoints, creating kill zones with grenades or area weapons before they arrive, and maintaining movement discipline that avoids the position becoming surrounded. The strategic wisdom the game demands is understanding that the arrangement you fight from determines the outcome more than any individual combat decision made within that arrangement. Weapon selection for each mission type produces meaningful performance differences. A shotgun's stopping power makes it ideal for the tight interior corridors that force close-range engagements; a rifle's range dominance is wasted in those same corridors but proves decisive in open map segments where zombies must cross open ground to reach you.
