Blocky Adventures is a precision platformer that hands you a small blocky hero and fifty levels to work through, spread across five themed worlds that run from frozen caverns to the inside of a volcano. Each world brings its own hazards, so the icy stages ask you to account for slippery footing while the volcanic ones fill the screen with things that will happily end a run. The movement set is what makes it worth learning. Beyond a standard jump you get a dash, a double jump, and a wall-slide that lets you climb a vertical surface by kicking off it repeatedly. Individually these are simple; chained together they open routes that look impossible on a first read of a level. Most of the harder sections are built specifically to be solved by combining two or three of them in quick succession. Energy orbs are scattered through every stage as the collectible, and enemies arrive as both patrolling ground types and flying ones that force you to time your jumps rather than spam them. For players who finish the main run there is a Speedrun mode that scores you against the clock, plus a hidden mega-level that only opens up for anyone who has thoroughly worked through the rest. Controls cover keyboard, touch, and gamepad: arrow keys or A and D to move, space or W to jump, and shift or X to dash, with on-screen buttons standing in on mobile.
