Survive Squad is a strategy RPG survival game where you command a squad of heroes against relentless enemy waves in a world pushed to the brink. As the squad commander, you decide how to equip each hero, which weapons to carry into battle, and how to adapt your loadout as the fight intensifies. The Backpack System is the tactical core — weapons are stored, arranged, and merged within your pack, and combining two weapons of the same type produces an upgraded version that is substantially more powerful than either component. The merge-weapon mechanic introduces a resource management dimension that rewards planning over panic. Holding onto a weaker weapon long enough to find its pair and merge rather than immediately equipping whatever drops creates inventory decisions that have real consequences — a timely merge at a critical wave can be the difference between surviving a difficult enemy surge and being overwhelmed by it. Flexible equipment combinations allow for genuine build diversity. Different hero characters benefit from different weapon types, and matching the right equipment to each hero's strengths compounds their effectiveness on the battlefield. Each run produces a slightly different set of weapon drops, so adapting to what the run gives you rather than pursuing a fixed strategy is the adaptive skill Survive Squad rewards.
